12. Jesus' Promise of Protection

Transcript

Jesus: "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Narrator: Think about the strongest, safest places you know - maybe a fortress in a video game, or a giant safe in a bank, or even a treehouse with a secret password. Now imagine something even safer and stronger than all of these combined! In John 10:27-28, Jesus promises to protect us in a way that goes beyond anything we could build or imagine.

This promise isn't like having a security alarm or a strong lock on your door. It's about being protected in a way that goes deeper than keeping our bodies safe. Jesus says He holds us in His hand—a place where nothing and no one can snatch us away from His love and care.

When we trust in Jesus' promise of protection, we discover something wonderful: even when scary things happen, we're never alone. Just like a shepherd watches over every sheep in his flock, Jesus watches over each one of us. He knows when we're afraid, worried, or feeling unsafe.

Some people think this means nothing bad will ever happen to us. But Jesus' protection is different - it's like having an unbreakable shield around our hearts and souls, even when things get difficult. He promises that nothing can separate us from His love or take us away from Him.

Today, if something makes you feel afraid or unsafe, remember that Jesus is holding you in His hand. Think about how strong and gentle His protection is.

May you rest secure in Jesus' promise of protection - knowing you're held safely in His hands, guarded by His love, and watched over every moment.

God bless you.
