23. No Catholics, Please!



Did you know? 🤔 Until 2015, it was illegal for the British Monarch to be Catholic or married to a Catholic. This law, part of the Act of Settlement 1701, was finally changed after more than 300 years, allowing potential future monarchs to marry Catholics without losing their place in the line of succession.
