15. The Church of England

Did you know? 🤔 The Church of England, also known as Anglicanism, was established in 1534 when King Henry VIII broke away from the Roman Catholic Church. This schism occurred after Pope Clement VII refused to annul Henry's marriage to Catherine of Aragon. Henry's desire for a male heir and his marriage to Anne Boleyn led to this major religious shift, creating one of the largest Christian denominations.
