Jesus: "My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
Narrator: Do you know that special feeling when someone saves a place just for you? Maybe at the lunch table, or your favorite spot on the couch, or even your seat in the car? Jesus is preparing an incredible place just for you in heaven! We find this beautiful promise in John 14:2-3.
This promise isn't about a regular house or room. It's about having a forever home with God. Sometimes we might worry about where we belong or feel like we don't fit in. Jesus wants us to know that He's creating a perfect place just for us, somewhere we'll truly belong forever.
When Jesus talks about His Father's house, He's telling us that heaven isn't just a faraway place in the clouds. It's a real home where God's family will live together. Think about how careful parents are when they prepare a room for a new baby - that's how Jesus is preparing our place in heaven, but even more wonderfully!
This promise is like getting an invitation to the most amazing home imaginable. We don't have to worry about being good enough to deserve it - Jesus has already done everything needed to make us part of God's family. All we need to do is accept His invitation.
Today, if you ever feel lonely or wonder where you truly belong, remember that Jesus is preparing a special place just for you. Think about what it means to have a forever home with God.
