Jesus: "I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete."
Narrator: Have you ever noticed how happiness comes and goes? Not just small happy moments, but deep-down gladness that lasts? Maybe you feel happy when good things happen, but then that feeling fades away. Jesus promises a different kind of happiness. It’s called joy, and it is a joy that stays! We find this promise in John 15:11.
This promise isn't just about feeling good when things go well. It's about having a deep gladness in our hearts, even when life gets difficult. Jesus wants to give us His own joy - the same joy He has! This is amazing because Jesus' joy doesn't depend on everything being perfect.
When we accept Jesus' promise of joy, we don't have to rely on things around us to make us happy. We can have a joy that comes from knowing God loves us and He is always with us. It's like having a light inside that keeps shining, even on cloudy days.
We can stop trying to find happiness in temporary things because Jesus offers us lasting joy. When we feel sad (and everyone does sometimes), we can rest knowing that His joy is still there underneath our feelings.
Today, if you feel like your happiness is slipping away, try talking to Jesus about it. Imagine receiving His special kind of joy—the kind that stays with you no matter what happens.
May you experience the complete joy Jesus promises - joy that doesn't depend on circumstances, joy that comes from His love, and joy that fills your heart and mind.
God bless you.
