Jesus: "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth."
Narrator: Have you ever wished for a special helper who's always with you? Jesus made an amazing promise about just that. He said God would send us a helper called the Holy Spirit. We find this promise in the Bible, in John 14:16-17.
This promise isn't about getting a new toy or a pet. It's about receiving God's own Spirit to live inside us. The Holy Spirit is like a wise friend who's always there to guide us, comfort us, and help us understand God better.
When we receive the Holy Spirit, we're never alone. Even when we can't see Jesus, His Spirit is with us. The Holy Spirit helps us make good choices, understand the Bible, and feel God's love.
Having the Holy Spirit is like having a little light inside you that helps you see the right path to take. This light also helps you see God's love more clearly and share it with others.
Today, think about how the Holy Spirit might be helping you. Maybe you felt brave when you were scared, or you knew the right thing to do in a tough situation. That could be the Holy Spirit guiding you!
May you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, guiding you and helping you grow closer to God every day.
